Ecclesiastes Part 6
Passage: Ecclesiastes 5:8–6:9
We are looking at the futility of placing our security in monetary means. King Solomon was one of the wealthiest men to have ever walked the earth, and yet he calls amassing abundant wealth "chasing after the wind." This passage is ripe with timeless truths, relevant across the ages, and no less applicable today than in Solomon's time. I pray that that God will illuminate to us how Solomon's wisdom can point us to the Gospel, and how we can live in light of the understanding that everything is an extravagant gift from the Lord.
