Three Men and A Baby
December 7, 2014 Speaker: Scott Davis
Passage: Matthew 2:1–2:16
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”
We’ve all seen these three funny looking guys in our nativity sets carrying their gold, frankincense and myrrh. Sometimes they’re on camels, sometimes they’re on foot and sometimes they’re wearing crowns. But, who were they? And, what relevance does their visit to Jesus have to us today?
