From garage bands to the Gaithers, Allan’s diverse musical background includes concert touring, studio session work, and jazz band at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he received a B.A. in math and broadcast journalism. Allan has served on the music staff of churches in Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Austin, where he completed a masters degree at the University of Texas. Allan and his wife Kathy have three grown, musical, and geographically-scattered children: Brian, Emily, and Sarah — and one granchild, Ben. Allan teaches math and computers full-time at National Park Community College.
