Rediscovering Christian Hospitality
“Start personally and start in your home. I dare you. I dare you in the name of Jesus Christ. Do what I am going to suggest. Begin by opening your home for community…All you have to do is open your home and begin. And there is no place in God’s world where there are no people who will come and share a home as long as it is a real home.”
What is Christian hospitality?
Why is it such a radical, costly idea?
How is it different than any other kind of hospitality, and how does it point us to Christ?
What is the history of Christian hospitality, and why has it faded in our society to a shadow, and how can we recover it?
Join the women of Hope Church for coffee and dessert as they study the book, Making Room: Recovering Hospitality as a Christian Tradition by Christine D. Pohl. The 6-week study will meet Wednesday evenings at 7 pm, starting February 10th. You can contact Leigh Anne Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
